Commentary
This is a bulb-type integrated amplifier that uses vacuum tubes for all stages of phono amplifier, preamplifier and power amplifier.
The main signal amplification stage, including the phono stage, is composed of a vacuum tube. The output is muted by the automatic turn-on delay until the vacuum tube is warm and ready for output, reducing the influence of noise caused by external vibration.
The power amplifier uses Macintosh's unique unity couple circuit and bifilar winding TRANSFORMERS to ensure flat response and wide-band power handling.
It uses an electromagnetic switch filled with inert gas. This switch is resistant to oxidation and enables distortion-free signal switching without contact failure over a long period of time.
Equipped with a Blue Eyes Power Meter that displays the actual output power.
