Commentary
A control amplifier developed based on the base of ML-6BL.
The basic circuit is a monaural version of the ML-7AL. The monaural configuration eliminates cross-modulation on the left and right sides. Functional aspects such as the tape monitor and balance control are eliminated for complete simplicity and straightness.
In addition, the main body (ML-6BL) and power supply (PLS-154L) are designed to be separated and independent, and three bus lines of plus, minus, and earth realize low impedance and suppress mutual interference.
The internal parts are carefully selected, and the RIAA circuitry includes top-of-the-line Teflon capacitors available at the time, as well as P &G custom volumes with carefully checked conductive plastic conductors and platinum plated leads, each with a serial number and date.
In addition, the lead wire is limited to the minimum necessary, and Teflon insulated pure silver lead wire is used.
The phono amp has two optional high-gain L3 and L3A plug-in cards that can be connected directly to the MC cartridge.
