Marantz ST700BS

Commentary

A multi-band tuner that supports satellite and terrestrial TV broadcasting, FM and AM, and is equipped with a timer.

The BS tuner uses a PLL synthesizer, and the PCM audio signal processing circuit uses a 1bitD/A converter of the bit stream method developed by Philips to realize high quality sound.
There are two outputs for both video and audio, and two digital audio outputs co-axial with optical. Digital and analog audio outputs can be set separately for TV / independent audio and main / sub modes.
It is also equipped with input / output terminals for HDTV.

The TV tuner uses a U/V all-band sound multiplex PLL synthesizer and a split-carrier system that provides high sensitivity, excellent reception performance and high quality images.
In addition, the FM tuner section is equipped with the front end that is also used in the ST-50.

There are 12 preset memories for BS/TV and 12 preset memories for FM/AM.
Preset channels can be used to store BS audio mode settings and manual TV fine-tuning.

The timer can be set up to 5 programs per week, and can be set arbitrarily from 4 variations of once, every day, every day excluding weekend, and every week.
It also has a sleep timer feature that allows you to sleep for up to 60 minutes every 10 minutes.
It can be used in conjunction with a cassette deck or CD player with a Marantz remote control terminal.
