Commentary

This is the top floor speaker system of the model9xx series.

The low-frequency unit is the so-called Horley cone, a unit specially ordered by Horley Co., which guarantees sharp playback sound with excellent transient characteristics.

It uses a 5-inch squaker that matches the characteristics of the woofer and is equipped with a back chamber inside the enclosure for the squaker to avoid interference.

For the TWEETEr and Super Tweeter, we have adopted a dome-shaped diaphragm that is ideal as a diaphragm material, is extremely thin and lightweight, easy to form, and has excellent linearity.
This unit developed by Marantz is called Light Weight Linear Polyestel Film ・ ・ LPF Dome Tweeter, and it is a unit with low distortion and excellent directivity.

The front baffle of the system has ports cut and sealed, usually with urethane foam filler. This allows you to fine-tune the low-frequency playback depending on the state of the listening room.

The enclosure is a raised tall boy floor that provides sufficient volume and sound.
It is built into an assembly structure for strength and is reinforced to provide a strong enclosure, and the unique bridge at the foot is a kind of speaker stand that takes into account low range room acoustic processing.
