A cassette deck equipped with various functions and a noise reduction system to support digital audio.
Equipped with Oatley bath function by infrared photo sensor and rotary head.
The infrared photo sensor detects the difference in reflectivity between the magnetic part of the tape and the leader part, and the rotary head immediately rotates to perform reverse operation.
The rotary head can record and play back both ways with the same head, so there is no difference in sound quality, and azimuth adjustment is possible in both directions.
The mechanism is equipped with 2K byte dedicated microcomputer + 3 motors (1 motor for capstan, 1 motor for reel, and 1 motor for head movement) for reliable and stable operation.
A large flywheel is used to obtain smooth rotation.
Dynamically stable back tension is maintained by the newly developed tension mechanism dynamic stability tension system using new material Rulon.
It is equipped with a double dummy head in order to eliminate the dispersion of travel performance in round trip, which is a problem in reverse deck.
Both sides of the rotary head are equipped with dummy heads to maintain accurate tape position and achieve stable tape travel.
The audio circuit has a DC configuration with only two coupling capacitors from input to output. The head-connected DC configuration improves the phase characteristics.
In addition, the audio system, the logic circuit for each display control, and the power circuit are separated from each other to improve sound quality by reducing the influence.
The noise reduction system is equipped with Dolby B/C and dbx.
Equipped with a sync recording function, you can control the recording start with the player start of the playback device by combining it with a device with a sync recording terminal (such as CD-84).
It is equipped with a blank search function that finds the beginning of an unrecorded portion of a recorded tape, checks the playback until about three minutes ahead, returns to the beginning of the unrecorded portion, and performs recording standby (REC/PAUSE).
It is equipped with a quick rewind function. If you press the rewind switch after recording, it returns to the position where the recording started and automatically goes into play standby (play / pause).
It is equipped with an Auto Rec Mute function that makes a 4-second non-recording part with one touch and automatically records on standby.
Equipped with a QMS (Quick Music Sensor) function that allows you to skip 20 songs before and after.
It is equipped with an index scan function that plays the head part of each song for 10 seconds.
Equipped with a memory function, the position of the tape can be memorized by operating the memory switch, and stop or play at that position.
You can repeat one song by pressing the play switch twice.
It is equipped with a volume that can control output output and headphone output.
It is equipped with a large display including a peak hold level meter and 4-way digital counter.
It is equipped with a Marantz bus system and can be remotely controlled when connected to a model equipped with a balance bus system.
