Commentary
As a basic type of cassette deck, this model was developed to record and reproduce digital sound such as CD in the best condition.
One is based on the concept of thoroughly pursuing basic performance, and the other is designed with emphasis on basic performance.
The mechanism system uses a flywheel made of sintered alloy with a large inertial mass, enabling stable tape travel.
We have also succeeded in improving the stability of the tape by balancing the flywheel and selecting the drive belt for tune-up.
The head uses a high-hardness permalloy for the recording and reproducing head, and the hyperbolic shape realizes a stable head touch.
It is equipped with a Dolby HX PRO that controls the bias current according to the music signal, thereby improving the high-frequency characteristics and dynamic range.
In addition, it is equipped with a bias fine tuning mechanism so that different bias characteristics can be controlled for each tape, metal, chrome, and normal. Recording can be performed by drawing out the characteristics of each tape.
In addition, Dolby B/C is also installed.
Equipped with a large display, it can be switched between two modes : a normal tape counter and a linear counter that displays the elapsed time of recording and playback in minutes and seconds.
In addition, all operational states are displayed on the display with characters such as digital characters so that the operational state can be understood at a glance.
Equipped with a peak memory function that digitally displays peak levels from 0 dB to + 12 dB in 1 dB steps during recording.
It is also equipped with a MAX Peak Memory function that stores the maximum recording level and allows you to maximum level at random with the memory call key.
Equipped with a QMS (Quick Music Sensor) that can cue up to 15 songs in front and back.
If you press the pause button during a search operation to find the beginning of a song (playback pause), the FOMA terminal waits.
It is equipped with functions such as AMS (Automatic Music Scan) which plays the intro of each song (approximately 10 seconds) one after another, repeat playback which repeatedly plays the song being played, blank skip which searches for the unrecorded portion of the tape being played and automatically fast-forwards it, memory rewind which automatically rolls back to the place where the recording started when the REW key is pressed directly during recording, and stop state, autospace, rec mute function, etc.
