The first Marantz Super Audio CD player developed by carefully selected parts including the D/A converter of the highest level of precision.

By using two 1-bit dual D/A converter DAC7 (TDA1547) per channel (four D/A converters), D/A conversion of DSD (direct stream digital) signals with sampling frequency 64 times that of CD is realized.

An 8 x oversampling digital filter DF7 (TDA1307) is used A) is used to convert CD music signals with a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz into bitstream data, which is passed to the 4-tap D/A converter section.

The audio circuit uses a twin-backed dual HDAM (High-Speed Voltage Amplification Module), a high-end device originally developed by Marantz. With a high shield structure that minimizes the effects of heat, vibration, and electromagnetic waves, the HDAM realizes stable performance. The twin-packed HDAM achieves an ideal high slew rate and low impedance.

The main power transformer in the power supply section is a super-ring-core toroidal transformer with a copper-plated shield cover. This transformer reduces the leakage flux level to about 1 / 10 and has a large capacity of 80 VA, providing ample regulation.
In addition, a dedicated transformer is provided to supply power to the fluorescent display tube. In addition to data display of the display tube, the heater power can be turned off, and other noise shielding measures are taken.

Specially selected block Chemicon is used for the power supply, and carefully selected parts such as machined RCA gold plated pin jack, gold plated balanced output terminal and detachable AC cord are used.

To eliminate external vibration and internal resonance, zinc die-cast is used for the mechanism and its base chassis, and aluminum die-cast is used for the mechanical loader tray.
In addition, as a measure to shut out radiation noise generated from the servo system of the mechanism, a copper-plated shield cover is adopted.

It uses a base plate of 6.4 mm thick copper-plated steel and 6.7 kg weight. It firmly fixes the die-casting mechanism and at the same time, it reduces vibration, resonance and resonance from inside and outside by high rigidity.

A 5 mm thick aluminum top cover is used for the top cover, and the casing is structured without screws from the front, top and side surfaces.

It supports all chSACD discs (single-layer, dual-layer, and hybrid discs) and can play 2-channel discs recorded with a DST signal, as well as CDs and CD-R discs.
