Commentary
A record player with a direct drive system.
The mechanism uses a direct drive system, and an 8-pole 24-slot high-torque DC brushless motor.
With a speed ratio of less than 0.4% per hour for 30 minutes, this motor maintains smooth rotation even during long-term use. This is because the pure electronic pocket warmer monitors and automatically controls the rotation, so it is not affected by external noise or power voltage fluctuations, and the influence of load fluctuations is minimized.
The tone arm uses a static balance S-shaped tone arm developed by Marantz Laboratory for the Model6300.
A gimbal bearing is used as the fulcrum of the arm for a high compliance structure that minimizes friction resistance between the horizontal and vertical rotating parts. In addition, in order to lower the resonance point, damper rubber is inserted into the contact point between the tone arm part and the counterweight part, and the thickness of the lateral balancer shaft that cancels the force from the side is made thicker, so that the sound quality is emphasized even in fine parts.
In addition, low-capacitor cables (40 pf per meter or less) suitable for CD-4 4-channel playback are used.
The cartridge is equipped with M95ED manufactured by Schur.
Electronic auto lift and auto shut-off are adopted.
In this system, light emitting diodes and phototransistors detect the end of the performance and perform auto lift and auto shut-off.
In addition, an electro-hydraulic system is used for queue control.
The cabinet is designed to affect sound quality as well as the design.
Double insulators are used for the legs. This is a special structure consisting of a hard rubber that contacts the player body and a cushion rubber that supports it. It absorbs acoustic feedback and vibrations from the floor, which adversely affect sound quality, and provides excellent howling margin.
In addition, the body can be horizontally adjusted by turning the outer ring.
