CD650
Commentary

CD player with 16 bit 4 x over-sampling digital filter and CD filing bank FTS.

Equipped with a unique Z-filter centered around a 4 x oversampling digital filter and a left-right independent 2D/A converter.
In the CD650, a newly developed 16-bit 4 x over-sampling LSI is incorporated into this Z-filter. By operating at 176.4 kHz, this Z-filter achieves excellent phase characteristics inherent in the 4 x over-sampling system and high transient response characteristics with a pass band of 30 kHz. In addition, a third order Bessel filter with excellent phase characteristics is used as the low-pass filter after D/A conversion.
The D/A converter employs a 2-DCAC system with dedicated D/A converters on the left and right sides, reducing the occurrence of phase shift. In addition to two D/A converters contained in a single chip LSI, newly developed LSIs for a digital filter and a PLL demodulation circuit are introduced, and stability is enhanced by integrating a decoder circuit into three chips.

The mechanism uses CDM-2, which is an improved version of our original swing arm mechanism, and the floating structure reduces the influence of vibration and resonance.
While inheriting the basic design of the swing arm 1-beam laser pickup, the CDM-2 is a completely new material and optical system. It uses high-density glass wool + Tic to realize weight reduction and low resonance frequency.
In addition, the pickup unit has been made smaller and more precise by introducing a unique replica technology (aspherical coating) and MC-type focusing mechanism.

In addition to the normal analog output terminal, it is equipped with a Meister output that takes into account the phase characteristics in the audio band and the high-frequency characteristics of the analog master CD based on musical characteristics.
In addition, a digital output terminal is mounted.

It is equipped with newly developed CD filing bank FTS, and programs can be stored in memory by FTS.
The FTS automatically determines which CDs are programmed and plays the program stored on each CD. The CD is determined by a unique ID code. The ID code combines the TOC data recorded on all CDs and can be automatically input simultaneously with the program.
The memory of FTS can be up to 155 songs, assuming that five songs are programmed on one CD. The memory element is EEPROM (2 kbyte), and the program can be either track, time or index and can be programmed up to 20 songs on one CD.

It is equipped with a multi-display which displays the operation of each function such as FTS, track, index, elapsed time and remaining time in a centralized manner.

It is equipped with a random access program of up to 20 songs, skip play, scan function, 5-mode repeat, auto pause, copy pause to insert a 4-second blank between songs, and 3-speed search.

Equipped with a headphone port equipped with volume.

There was a side wood as an option.

It comes with a remote control that allows you to control most functions including random access from your hand.
