Marantz CD-94
¥ 150,000 (released in 1986)
Commentary
This CD player was developed based on the development results and research results from the first CD player, the CD-63 to the LHH2000.
Equipped with TDA1541, a 16-bit D/A converter LSI that operates with 4 x oversampling, all digital decoders are made to be 16-bit. The TDA1541 is equipped with two D/A converters for Lch and Rch in the chip LSI, eliminating the phase shift between right and left.
The mechanism part is tuned up with the CDM-1 mechanism which is also used for professional CD players.
By separating and separating the pre-amplifier for the laser signal which had been mounted in the mechanism in the past, the pre-amplifier circuit is freed from the microvibration of the rotary system. Furthermore, the circuit itself is also pursued in large scale and sound quality.
In addition, reinforcing ribs have been added to the mechanism unit by aluminum die-casting to increase rigidity.
The digital circuit, audio circuit, servo circuit, microcomputer and display circuit are each composed of independent circuit boards. The layout is designed to eliminate noise while suppressing mutual interference.
The power supply section uses a large transformer and a custom electrolytic capacitor of 68,000 μ Fx2. The secondary winding of the power supply transformer is divided into four sections for digital circuits, audio circuits, servo circuits, and display circuits. These sections are independent of each other to prevent noise from the power supply section. The regulator circuit is also made discrete to reduce noise from the power supply section itself.
A die-cast chassis is used for the chassis and combined with an integrally molded aluminum pull-out top cover to increase the weight and rigidity of the body.
CD Filing Bank Contains FTS (Treasure Track Selection) for permanent storage of programs, automatically determines which CDs are programmed, and plays the stored programs on each CD.
Almost all operations are possible with the included wireless remote control.
Equipped with shuffle play shuffle play, program playback of up to 20 songs, repeat mode of FTS / shuffle / program / A-B / one song / all songs, AMS function to play the heads of songs one after another, timer play, etc.
It has a headphone port.
The digital output terminal is coaxial with the optical output terminal.
