Commentary

The SE series CD player has pursued further possibilities while inheriting the basic performance of the CD-15.

CDM-4MD, which is an original swing arm mechanism of Philips, is adopted for the mechanism part, and excellent is obtained.

The D/A converter section is equipped with DAC7, a bit stream type D/A converter, in a double differential system, to achieve excellent S/N and channel separation.

The HDAM is a high-speed voltage amplification module with excellent thermal stability and shielding performance as well as low noise characteristics and high slew rate. The New HDAM improves circuit speed, stability and S/N by switching from a 2-layer PCB to a 4-layer PCB.

The power supply section uses a toroidal transformer with low leakage flux and low internal impedance to ensure stable power supply capability. In addition, the transformer for the display tube is installed separately to reduce the influence of noise generated from the display tube.

The chassis is made of zinc die-cast with copper plating to reduce the adverse effect of high frequency on circuits and elements. In addition, the vibration control effect is enhanced by 5 mm thick aluminum top cover and 12 mm thick aluminum side panel.

Wireless remote control is included.
