Marantz CD-16
¥ 160,000 (around 1994)
Commentary
A CD player that pursues cost performance while inheriting the technology and parts put into the CD-15.
The D/A converter uses DAC7, which boasts excellent linearity.
The analog output circuit uses HDAM, a high-speed voltage amplifier module developed by Marantz.
HDAM has excellent thermal stability and shielding performance, and achieves low noise / high through rate.
CDM-4MD of 1-beam swing arm mechanism is adopted for the mechanism part.
By using original ICs for servo systems and decoders, the disc can be played back even if it has a slight scratch or warpage.
By adopting a copper-plated die-cast chassis and shielding main parts of the body with copper-plated steel plates, adverse effects on music signals such as vibration and mutual interference are suppressed.
In addition, the resistors, capacitors, and other components used in this product are equivalent to those used in high-end products, ensuring high sound quality.
Uses a 2-step display OFF switch.
Wireless remote control is included.
