PM-14SA ver.2
Commentary

This is a pre-main amplifier with improved perfection by applying the technology obtained in the SC-7S1/MA-9S1 to the PM-14SA.

The power supply circuit has been extensively revised.
The electrolytic capacitor of the power supply block uses a low-foil magnification / low-loss cobalt capacitor of the same series as the one used in the separate amplifier. The power transformer uses a 450 VA super-ring-core toroidal transformer with high efficiency and low leakage flux. In addition, the power supply line is made as short as possible, and the ground potential is completely reviewed to eliminate potential fluctuations.
The Schottky barrier diode, which was also used in the separate amplifier, is fully adopted in each rectifier circuit to achieve high efficiency and low noise.

The preamplifier uses the current feedback circuit that is also used in the PM-14SA. It also uses the high-precision low-noise metal-coated resistor and polypropylene film capacitor used in the separate amplifier to achieve low noise and high slew rate.
The first stage employs an adjustable HDAM voltage amplification module that can adjust the DC offset. The FET buffer is used for impedance conversion and power feedback is injected into it. The second stage uses a SEPP + diamond output circuit with bipolar transistors to provide a high-speed, high-current amplification factor and a power amp-like configuration to ensure sufficient drive capability.

A conventional current feedback circuit is also used for the power amplifier, and the film capacitor and resistor used in the separate amplifier are used. By reducing the feedback impedance, phase compensation can be made lighter and a high-speed amplifier is realized. This circuit is stable against load fluctuations and can remove the choke coil in the output section, which is harmful to sound quality. This circuit is also advantageous in terms of S/N.
The circuit is connected from the first stage, where the voltage is amplified by a high-speed adjustable HDAM, to the power amplifier of a 3-stage Darlington, where the DC amplification factor is obtained through an I/V converter using a current mirror circuit after impedance conversion. The output stage is a single-push-pull configuration with a Pc = 200W multi-emitter bipolar transistor.
By applying 100% DC feedback to the first stage and adjusting the offset of the adjustable HDAM, it is possible to eliminate DC servo due to active element which is a problem in S/N, etc.
The power transistor is set on the heat sink via a copper cover with high vibration isolation / shielding effect.

The CD input terminal uses a wide pitch shaved terminal.
The speaker terminal is made by WBT of Germany.

Equipped with an input / output terminal and a selector switch for independent use of the preamplifier and power amplifier.
In consideration of the use of active woofer, the pre-out is designed to be output even when integrated.
In addition, by setting the gain of the power amplifier section to the same value as that of SM-17SA ver. 2, the possibility of bi-amplifier connection is obtained.

Uses a copper plated high density zinc die-cast chassis.

Equipped with a phono equalizer amplifier.

Uses solid aluminum insulator.

Conductor cross-sectional area 2 mm2The OFC power cable is included.

Wireless remote control is included.
