Commentary
A 20 cm cone type woofer unit that uses ギャザードエッジ.
In L-200, in order to reduce non-linear strain, the structure and material of the cone vibration part were devised, and strain caused by divided vibration was proposed. In addition, elements that cause non-linear strain such as magnetic circuit, edge, damper, etc. are eliminated.
The range of piston vibration is also expanded.
The voice coil uses a 10 cm diameter voice coil. By shortening the vertical angle of the cone paper, the strength of the cone is increased and the piston motor cortex range is expanded. In addition, by shortening the bus length of the cone, the split vibration of the cone, which causes distortion, is eliminated.
ギャザードエッジ is used for the edge part.
This edge is composed of 480 sided gathers, which act like an accordion bellows. It is also made of specially treated synthetic fiber, which increases the compliance while suppressing the higher-order resonance of the edge, and improves the linearity of vibration.
Cone paper with high Young's modulus and low density has been developed and adopted through repeated trial manufacture.
The damper part uses a newly developed material that has been sufficiently aged and molded in order to support the effective mass of the vibration system, thereby suppressing changes over time.
