Commentary

A 2-way speaker system that uses a metal diaphragm and ギャザードエッジ.

Based on the concept of rigid piston-like vibration, metal vibration plates made of thin plates are used for both woofer and tweeter.
Metal vibration provides rigidity, sound velocity, and other characteristics that cannot be obtained with paper, and expands the rigid piston-like vibration range. Metal vibration plates are stable in terms of materials, easy to control quality, and have almost no variation.
In addition, Lordi traditional ギャザードエッジ is used for the edge of each unit, and it realizes the suspension with good linearity from Oire force to large input.

The low range is equipped with L-205 which is a 20 cm cone type woofer.
The L-205 is a composite type in which a foamed resin is sandwiched in the middle of the cone to obtain a sufficiently low Q, and the resonance is damped. One of the characteristics of metal cones is that they have significant main band resonance outside the used band, and there are much less high-order high-frequency resonance than other types. The main high-frequency resonance of the L-205 is 2.9 kHz, which is controlled by a peak capacitor and a furnace all-circuit. The other high-frequency resonance is sufficiently controlled and shut off because the crossover frequency is as low as 1.1 kHz.

The MH-35, a 3.5 cm sailor cap type tweeter, is installed in the high range.
This unit uses a small semi-vertical dome (sailor cap type) cone and uses light and strong titanium to extend the flat characteristics to the high frequency range and push the high resonance frequency to the ultrasonic range. Moreover, by reducing the effective diameter to 3.5 cm, large dispersion (wide directivity) is obtained.
In the MH-35, an amplitude margin of ± 1 mm is realized by the ギャザードエッジ, and the characteristics to the middle and low band are extended, and the wide band from 1.1 khz to 20 khz is provided without resonance.

The enclosure is hermetically sealed, and the frequency characteristics and braking conditions are determined so as to reproduce the low-pitched sound closest to that of the HS-1500. The exterior has a walnut finish.

It is equipped with a level control for the high frequency band.
