Commentary
A direct drive player developed using Lordi's motor technology.
The drive section uses an 8-pole 24-slot non-commutator DC servo motor with a direct drive system.
In addition, it is equipped with a DC servo mechanism that controls even slight rotational deviation to maintain accurate rotational speed.
Electronic control system is used for speed switching and fine adjustment of rotational speed. Fine adjustment of ± 3% of rotational speed is independent of each rotational speed and can be performed by strobe and neon lamps installed on the periphery of the turntable.
The power switch and the number of revolutions can be changed by one lever method.
As a countermeasure against howling, we have reduced resonance by installing a newly developed large insulator and an arm with rubber vibration isolators in cabinets with large howling margins.
The tone arm uses a low center of gravity S-shaped needle pressure direct reading static balance type with excellent tracing capability.
In addition, for the sliding of the arm, it is equipped with a dial type anti-skating mechanism which enables stable tracing.
It uses a low-capacity output cord and the same cartridge body as the CD-4 cartridge, making it possible to play CD-4 only by changing the needle tip.
Since the neon lamp case is also used as a finger holder, it can be supported by holding the little finger when bringing the needle tip to the record board.
An oil dump type arm lifter is adopted.
The dust cover has a detachable auto hinge.
