Commentary
A high-end FM/AM tuner developed to achieve the ultimate goal of FM stereo tuners.
Three New Vistas are used as input circuits to construct an efficient cascode amplifier circuit.
The switch between stereo and monaural is equipped with a built-in automatic mode switching device that automatically adjusts the receiving condition according to the received radio wave.
This automatic switching device is equipped with a malfunction prevention circuit to separate the stereo signal and noise components so that the automatic mode switching device does not malfunction due to noise components.
The MPX circuit uses a switching method. Moreover, the left and right signals separated by the MPX circuit are not taken out as they are. Instead, the leakage of the reverse channel is offset by an additional separation circuit.
An intermediate frequency amplifier circuit with a carefully designed intermediate frequency transformer is adopted.
The limiter circuit, which cuts out noise components contained in radio waves, is a double limiter system.
An AFC circuit (automatic frequency stabilization circuit) is mounted to prevent the tuning point from shifting.
In addition, in order to prevent the AFC circuit from interfering with the tuning of weak radio waves when tuning, a switch is provided to cancel the AFC circuit.
The AM tuner uses a super-heterodyne system with a high-frequency amplifier circuit.
In addition, a ferrite bar antenna is built-in so that no antenna is necessary except for receiving long-distance broadcasting.
The AM tuner section uses an intermediate frequency transformer of variable band type, so it is possible to switch between a wide band that emphasizes sound quality and a narrow band that emphasizes separation.
In addition, it is equipped with a whistle filter to remove beats.
A muting circuit is installed in order to remove inter-station noise generated between stations.
FM and AM are equipped with independent level controls.
Equipped with a separation control to adjust the degree of separation of the FM stereo broadcast transmission.
(Product adjusted)
The final adjustment is done carefully one by one to ensure that the original circuit performance is achieved.
