Commentary
This is a speaker system that uses a ring-type tweeter developed by LUX.
A 30 cm diameter high-compliance free-edge unit is used for the low frequency band.
This unit uses a long voice coil to reduce non-linear distortion in the low frequency range and is designed to mechanically cut out unwanted high frequencies.
A butterfly-shaped damper made of epoxy / glass fiber laminate is used for the damper, and foaming neoplane rubber is used for the edge, which absorbs the reflection generated from the edge and ensures good linearity.
A 4 cm dome type unit is adopted for the middle area.
The diaphragm is made of hard duralumin, which has high rigidity, to suppress split vibrations in the audible band that interfere with sound clarity.
Free edge type using fiber with high Young's modulus is used for the edge.
A 3.3 cm ring unit developed by LUX is used for the high frequency band.
By LUX's unique ring diaphragm shape using ultra-hard duralumin, split vibration within the audible band is eliminated and only the complete inertial control range is used.
In addition, the space between the magnetic gap and the air chamber is covered with an acoustic resistor to control the resonance near fo, resulting in flat sound pressure characteristics.
Input resistance is strengthened by adopting 2.5 cm aluminum voice coil and super-hard duralumin bobbin.
The enclosure uses particle boards with 25 mm top, bottom, and side plates, and 20 mm front and rear plates.
The surface has a rosewood finish.
In addition, Bond acetate fiber is used for the sound absorbing material inside.
