Commentary
A player system descended from the PD121/PD131.
A direct drive system is adopted as the drive system.
A brushless and slotless flat DC servo motor is used for the drive motor. The slot of the motor, which is one of the causes of magnetic rotation unevenness, is removed. By combining it with a turntable with a large moment of inertia in which most of the weight is concentrated on the outer circumference, highly stable rotation is realized.
Straight type static balance tone arm is used for the tone arm part.
A straight arm is used to prevent resonance due to insufficient strength, which tends to occur in arms dedicated to high-compliance cartridges. In addition, a double pipe structure is used for the bearing part to prevent resonance.
This arm has high rigidity by integrating the cartridge shell and tone arm, and has excellent trackability and low resonance.
The dust cover uses an acrylic plate-bonded type dust cover that is advantageous in terms of howling resistance.
When the dust cover is closed, weight is applied to the player body, which is an effective measure against howling.
The flutter mat has a shape that fits perfectly with the record. In addition, the surface has been given a special treatment finish so that it fits well with the record.
High-density rubber is used so that not only the record but also the turntable itself can be dumped powerfully.
An ultra-thin OI core type power transformer with extremely low leakage flux is used for the power supply part to improve stable rotation and S/N ratio.
A 1-lever, 2-action switch mechanism is adopted for the operation part, and power ON/OFF and speed switching can be performed with one lever.
Equipped with a mirror reflection type strobe scope.
Equipped with an oil dump-type arm lifter.
Equipped with an inside four scan cellar of a thread hooking lever type.
