Universal player compatible with DVD audio and SACD.

To maximize the capabilities of both multi-bit DVD audio and DSD SACD, we have installed a PCM D/A conversion route for multi-bit and a DSD DAC for SACD playback. Also, SACD sources recorded in DSD can be converted to multi-bit and played back.
Furthermore, in order to realize high-quality reproduction of CDs, detailed studies have been carried out such as re-washing of circuit constants, review of materials, and optimization of casing current.

The D/A conversion part is equipped with Luxman's original FE (Full Embassy) DAC.
The FE / DAC was installed in the D/A converter DA-07 released in 1989. In the past, it was impossible to install it in an integrated CD player because it was very large. The DU-10 uses a full enclosure interpolation DSP that has been realized by advances in DSP processing capability, and while being compact, it has acquired spatial reproducibility equivalent to that of the DA-07.
The difference between the FE-DAC full enclosure method and the conventional Shannon method lies in the interpolation function, and the difference appears in the impulse response waveform. In the full enclosure method, there is no vibration seen in Shannon, and the waveform is clean, reducing the effect on the waveform modulation that occurs at the start of music. In addition, in the frequency characteristic, while Shannon drops sharply at a fixed frequency, full enclosure draws a relatively gentle slope, making it possible to create a space that can reproduce frequencies above 20 kHz in CD playback.

The DU-10 is equipped with two types of DACs, a full enclosure type and a Shannon type, and can be switched with a switch on the front panel.
The Shannon method is most suitable for electronic music and other genres, and the Full Encie method is most suitable for classical music and other genres, which can naturally express rich a feeling of oppression.

For transformer and power supply, the mechanism, video system and audio system are separately arranged, and each circuit is separated by a chassis to increase rigidity and reduce interference between units.
In addition, each circuit part is made with an abundance of audio-only parts that have been carefully examined for sound quality to further improve sound quality.

The front panel and side panel are made of thick aluminum material, and the upper panel is made of a composite material of aluminum and steel plate to improve damping performance against external vibration.
In addition, in order to reduce vibration from the floor, FRP, which has twice the normal specific gravity and is reinforced with glass fiber, is used.

Equipped with a decoder for 5.1 ch Dolby Digital (AC-3) and dts surround.
The 6-channel circuit is equipped with a common grade audio circuit to ensure high quality.

It is equipped with a progressive video circuit and can display twice the amount of information compared to the interlaced method on progressive TV by video interpolation and can obtain images with less flicker.

Equipped with a digital input, it can be used as a D/A converter.

Wireless remote control is included.
