D-700s
Commentary

A CD player equipped with an HDCD decoder and developed with the goal of playing CDs at the best quality.

This is the first HDCD decoder installed in a Japanese model.
In HDCD, recorded information exceeding the frame of the basic format, which cannot be recorded in ordinary CDs, is encoded in an empty area of the track, and this information is analyzed by a decoder and output during playback.

The D/A converter is equipped with a sine magnitude 20-bit D/A converter to eliminate 0 cross distortion, which is a problem in multi-bit systems.

In order to prevent interference between digital and analog circuits, the D-700s controls the effects of unwanted radiation by placing digital and analog circuits with sufficient space between them and limiting the area in which digital signals are exchanged.
We also ensure audio signals of higher purity by designing boards with a rational layout that smoothes the flow of signals through digital filters, DACs, output amplifiers, and other devices.

In order to achieve both the operability of the front loading system and the stability of the top loading system, we have adopted a disk tray locking mechanism that automatically locks the tray when the disk is stored inside.
In addition, vibration from the outside is avoided by isolating the whole mechanism.

The disc tray is designed to provide soft braking just before closing, ensuring that the CD is loaded securely.
In addition, the tray section, including the transport section, has an isolated structure that blocks the influence of external light, enabling more accurate signal reading.
In addition, high-density FRP material with appropriate internal loss is used for the tray to strengthen the structure, and it is supported by a rigid shaft to ensure sufficient stability and smooth movement.

The power supply consists of five windings separated from the secondary side of the transformer and taken out, and the power supply for each circuit is divided by a regulator to eliminate interference through the power supply between each circuit.

The drive motor is equipped with a leakage isolated motor with a structure to isolate leakage magnetic flux, reducing the influence of interference noise on digital and analog circuits.

The analog output has RCA and XLR pins, and the digital output has a coaxial RCA pin.
Gold-plated terminals are used for all terminals.

System remote control is included.
This remote control not only operates the CD player itself, but also operates basic functions such as L-507s/L-505s via the bus line.
