D-7
Commentary

A CD player that inherits the design philosophy of the D-10 and supports HDCD.

It is equipped with an HDCD decoder and supports HDCD.
In addition, when performing 8 x oversampling interpolation, the dither signal has energy distribution frequency characteristics that do not give a sense of incongruity to the music signal, and the minimum bit is stored. As a result, natural realism is achieved even during normal CD playback.

The D/A converter uses PCM1702, which is a 20 bit sign magnitude DAC, to solve 0 cross distortion, which is the largest defect of multi-bit DAC. In addition, the D-7 uses highly selected K-rank high-reliability devices to achieve thorough low distortion.

The power supply section employs a newly developed large-capacity custom capacitor with low loss and excellent rapid charge / discharge characteristics. The power supply is composed of a real-time instantaneous power supply, thereby realizing the stability corresponding to the current change of the multi-bit DAC.
In addition, by dividing the winding of a sufficiently large power transformer into four systems according to the application and using know-how to prevent current interference such as STAR circuits, interference via the power supply part of each circuit is prevented.

The I/V converter with this function uses Luxman's original SSC circuit, and an analog circuit that reacts in real time to the response of the DAC realizes extremely accurate voltage conversion.

To prevent interference between digital and analog circuits, the D-7 incorporates an RF amplifier that amplifies the small signal of the laser pickup, and digital signal processing components such as EFM demodulation and error correction into the drive mechanism. The output of these components passes through a shield box and is input to the nearest digital filter. A control microcomputer that controls the entire process is also located immediately adjacent to the digital filter.
In this way, the rational layout design that fits the digital circuit in a very small area prevents degradation of the digital signal and ensures a high-purity analog signal.

A high-density FRP resin tray with moderate internal loss is used for the disk tray. This tray is mechanically fixed during rotation, overcoming the weak point of the tray which is vulnerable to vibration.
In addition, the mechanism is firmly mounted by a solid rigid housing structure with two channels passing through the center of the chassis and both sides of the mechanism in front and back. This structure divides the inside of the housing into three shield compartments to almost completely prevent the functional units contained in each compartment from interfering with each other. In addition, the entire center mechanism is covered to prevent contamination of the laser pickup output signal due to light leakage.

The base chassis uses FRP base chassis containing glass fibers with rigidity and moderate internal loss.

It uses plenty of high-quality custom parts.
Especially for analog circuits such as I/V converters, high-quality parts such as special coated carbon resistors and copper tube shielded Styrofoam capacitors are used.

It is equipped with coaxial digital output by pulse transformer with large toroidal core and AES/EBU balance digital output.
In addition to the RCA pin terminal, the analog output is also equipped with a balanced XLR terminal.

Includes metal body wireless remote control.
It also has a display off function, and you can turn off the display by remote control operation according to the brightness and situation of the room.
