Commentary
A multi-channel divider that makes FL15 more versatile and replaces it with a transistor.
There are four crossover points, two channel and three channel multi-amp systems, and a mixing circuit for 3D.
It is based on an emitter-follower NF demultiplexing circuit with a cutoff characteristic of 12dB/oc. It also operates as an RC1-stage demultiplexing circuit by switching the cutoff characteristic selector switch to the 6dB/oct position.
For the lowest-efficiency woofer unit, a 2-stage NF amplifier circuit with a low-frequency gain of approximately 13 dB is mounted after the level set volume.
In addition, the emitter-follower circuit is inserted after the level set for the mid - and high-frequency ranges to keep the output impedance low and prevent degradation and noise induction in the high-frequency range due to the shield line connecting the divider and power amplifier.
The horn-type unit, which is vulnerable to excessive input, may be damaged if it is switched during a performance due to input signals outside the band of the speaker unit.
In order to prevent this, a special mechanism is used for the knob mechanism. When it is turned normally, it only turns idle. When this switch is changed, it is turned while pulling the knob toward you.
The level set volume is semi-fixed and is capped so that the optimum level position cannot be moved.
