Commentary

In order to pursue quality thoroughly, we want to make the phono equalizer into an independent component. This is an old amplifier.

The MC transformer is equipped with a hand-wound design MC transformer.
This transformer was made by a designer who worked on the design and development of the output transformer for MB300. Characteristic checks and trial listening are repeated with the designer's own hand winding, and more than 100 kinds of trial production have been carried out. The wire is made of PC-OCC, and the wire diameter, core material, stacking method of the core and shielding method are thoroughly examined.
The E-06 is equipped with a total of four dedicated transformers of two types with different boosting ratios, one for each L/R. In addition, the MC transformer input can be balanced by the concept that balanced transmission is effective only on delicate MC lines.

Both the first and second stages of the CR-type equalizer circuit use a flat amplifier.
In the E-06, the flat amplifier element has been fundamentally improved and the CR element has been carefully selected to realize the sound characteristic of the CR type.

The volume circuit uses a 32-point altimemate attenuator.
This attenuator was developed and designed for E-06 and C-06 by returning to the origin, and it consists of glass epoxy board, gold plated finish, non-magnetic resistance wiring, die-cast, shield case made of extruded material, etc.
In the E-06, the L/R is adopted independently. Moreover, in order to obtain more natural volume change, it has a curve characteristic as a trim control that allows delicate adjustment of the output balance of the cartridge in 0.5 dB steps near the maximum output.
In addition to the variable output, a direct output terminal is also provided.

A flat amplifier is used for the input and output amplifiers of the equalizer circuit.
These circuits handle signals with different phases before equalization and after equalization, so if this part is used as a common power supply, undesirable sound quality results may occur.
For this reason, the E-06 employs a constant-voltage power supply suitable for each of the input amplifier and output amplifier in addition to the left and right separate transformers to improve sound quality.

PC-OCC (single-crystal high-purity oxygen-free copper wire) is used as wiring material.
In addition, we use parts that give priority to sound quality, such as a nitrogen gas sealed contact input switching relay with parallel contacts, a bus bar designed to reduce power source impedance, a first stage block with reinforced shield, a monolithic layout glass epoxy board with L/R separation shield, a non-magnetic chassis and a rigid wooden cabinet that eliminate the influence of noise and vibration on signals.

It is equipped with a line-phase sensor that can detect the polarity of the AC power supply and improves sound quality by unifying the polarity of the total system.
Since both the primary and secondary sides of the power transformer are strictly controlled for polarity, it is combined with the line phase sensor to obtain the effect of uniform polarity.
