LUXMAN PZ12B

Commentary
As an improved version of PZ12, this preamplifier inherits the flow from PZ11.
The circuit has a simple structure and consists of 13 silicon transistors and one silicon diode.
The equalizer stage uses a direct-coupled NF circuit using two low-noise transistors, and the equalizer characteristics use the RIAA curve. The intermediate amplifier stage also uses the same two stage direct-coupled NF circuit as the equalizer stage.
The output stage uses an emitter-follower circuit to keep the output impedance low at approximately 100 Ω.
The tone control part uses NF type of Lux-system.
Inputs Aux1 and Aux2 switch the sensitivity of one auxiliary input terminal.
The tone control is a left-right interlocking type.
Power switch linked volume is adopted.
The front panel is designed with an aluminum plate embedded in a plastic frame.
The knob is finished with aluminum alumite finish, and the hood is finished with a gray paint of aluminum material that is drawn with a mold.
