L-500
Commentary

This is a pre-main amplifier designed to simplify the signal flow by eliminating the need for a phono equalizer and simplifying the internal layout in order to achieve high quality CD playback.
By eliminating the speaker selector switch and even the headphone port, it has been completely simplified to achieve pure musical reproduction.

The power amplifier consists of a duo-beta circuit with a single-stage amplifier circuit of pure complimentary service directly connected to all stages.
By segmenting the return current in the circuit and clarifying the reference point of operation, the transparency of each sound is ensured.
In the current amplifier stage, a 3-stage Darlington connection is adopted in order to increase the driving capability at low impedance load.
In the final stage, a 150W-class power transistor is used in parallel push-pull, and in the pre-driver stage, a constant-voltage power supply is inserted separately for the left and right sides, for a luxurious configuration.

The power supply section is equipped with a large transformer equivalent to 340 VA to realize high drive performance with low impedance.
Separate windings are used for the main amplifier circuit, power amplifier pre-driver circuit, pre-amplifier circuit and accessory circuit. The separate supply for each circuit with different characteristics prevents interference between circuits.
In addition, the main winding is separated into left and right after rectification, and the power supply impedance is lowered by four block capacitors, and the instantaneous power supply capability is enhanced to support low impedance driving capability.

The volume is equipped with a 32-contact rotary switch type Ultimate attenuator which was originally developed.
By mounting a non-magnetic resistor on a gold-plated, patterned glass epoxy substrate and shielding it with die-cast and extruded materials, we are working to improve quality in all aspects.

Measures have been taken against various types of noise that can interfere with music.
The S/N ratio is improved by eliminating noise from outside the set with a line noise filter, eliminating noise sources inside the amplifier, and taking measures against high-frequency noise.

For high-purity music playback, thorough measures against resonance are taken.
The L-500 uses a center trans configuration to increase the strength of the entire system, and achieves an excellent vibration mode by distributing the weight equally to the left and right.
In addition, the power section is completely symmetrical, and each circuit part is shielded to eliminate vibration and mutual interference, and leakage flux is also well protected.
In addition, the effect of external and internal vibrations is suppressed by the adoption of a large capacity FRP bottom chassis with a thorough vibration isolation structure.

Custom parts such as electrolytic capacitors and copper styrofoam capacitors are used everywhere.

A tone compensator is installed as a tone correction circuit.
Natural phase correction can be performed over the entire band.

It is equipped with a line phase sensor that can manage power supply polarity.
