Commentary
Stereo tri-amplifier with variable crossover MFB.
HQ34 is composed of HQ33 with variable crossover MFB added.
The HQ34 is equipped with Luxman's unique variable crossover MFB circuit. By adjusting the playback capability of the speaker's deep bass with the knob and switch, it is possible to play a bass one octave lower than that of a normal amplifier.
The MFB uses a closed type speaker, and the MFB can be switched to the normal NFB type with a switch on the back.
A one touch system with 14 push buttons in 4 blocks is adopted for the operation part, and the operability is improved by using all push buttons.
The tuner section is designed with special emphasis on the sound quality of the FM tuner.
A built-in AFC circuit automatically adjusts the optimum tuning point to prevent tuning deviation over time. In addition, an FM-multiplex connector is mounted on the mounted on the rear for stereo broadcast transmission compatibility.
The tone control is equipped with NF type LUX tone control which is also used for SQ5B and SQ63.
A deep NF circuit is installed in the preamplifier section of the tone control and equalizer to reduce the distortion factor.
The vacuum tube uses a DC ignition system to eliminate ham.
The volume is adjusted separately for the left and right channels.
There is an output meter in the center of the front panel so that you can adjust it while checking the output.
This meter is also designed to operate as a tuning indicator for the tuner by means of a switch.
The exterior case is designed with art bond instead of the commonly used paint finish.
Art Bond is a laminate of vinyl chloride and metal developed by US Rubber Co. of the United States.
