Commentary

This is a preamp that inherits the quality from the top end of the separate series and pursues more usability.

The circuit is a double SSC (Single Stagger Circuit) circuit capable of high-quality balanced input.
In this circuit, the amplifier circuit operates as if the amplifier circuit is composed of a single stage, increasing the wide frequency range and the potential of the whole circuit. In the C-5, high-density integrated circuits constituting the SSC are put into the input buffer stage and the flat amplifier stage. By drastically improving the frequency characteristics in the ultra-high frequency range outside the audible band, stable operation with almost no need for local phase correction is realized.
In addition, a fully balanced amplifier stage composed of 4 amplifiers with low noise and wide range with high slew rate is formed by IC.

The power supply section is equipped with a high-inertia power supply.
In the high-inertia power supply, the sound quality is improved and natural music expression is realized by configuring the power supply part with sufficient space so that it does not excessively depend on the regulator.
The power supply section employs a newly designed large toroidal transformer with a high-efficiency R core to reduce magnetic flux leakage. In addition, it has a thorough shield structure called an independent power supply room, making it the most suitable power supply section for preamplifiers.

Equipped with an NF-type phono equalizer amplifier for both MM and MC cartridges.
This circuit is designed by combining a FET differential circuit with a high input impedance and an SSC circuit to realize an amplifier with low noise and accurate equalizer characteristic curve.

There are nine input terminals : four line inputs, two balanced inputs, and two tape inputs. There are two RCA pin outputs and one pre-output terminal with a balanced terminal.

The Top Model B-10 and C-10 use Lux Custom Parts which were created in the development process. It is equipped with a custom-made copper foil styrene condenser and sealed gold-plated contact relay for Lux Specifications.

The internal construction is a separate chassis structure in which each block is completely separated by shield partition walls. In addition, mutual interference is completely eliminated by considering the layout of each circuit with relatively less influence.
In addition, a 5-point grounding system bottom chassis made of high-capacity FRP base material is adopted for the bottom chassis, reducing the influence of unnecessary vibration and resonance.

Equipped with a mode selector, you can select a normal stereo mode, a mixed L/R mono signal mode, an L signal mode, and an R signal mode.

It is equipped with tone control, balance control, inverted phase switch, line straight switch, subsonic filter, loudness, etc.

Equipped with line phase sensor, polarity of power plug can be confirmed.

The main unit can be combined with LUXMAN power amplifiers B-10/M-10/M-7/M-5 and connected with a dedicated cable to link the power ON/OFF.

Includes a wireless remote control for key operations such as input selector and volume control.
