Commentary
A monaural power amplifier using Luxman technology such as ODNF circuit and high inertia power supply.
By connecting two B-1s with a BTL, it can be expanded to a 300W (8 Ω) monaural amplifier.
It is equipped with a newly developed ODNF circuit with the aim of achieving a high initial slew rate and uniform tone quality in all bands.
In this circuit, we have developed an ultrawide-band, high-slew rate, low-distortion circuit that does not require phase correction for the amplifier circuit, eliminating the phase correction that cannot be avoided with conventional NFB.
An improvement has also been made to the NFB itself, in which only the distortion component is removed from the output waveform by changing from the conventional method of suppressing the distortion for each music signal to a method of feeding back only the noise component to the final stage of the amplifier circuit, thereby obtaining an ultra-wide bandwidth and an initial slew rate that rises instantly.
In addition, by eliminating the DC servo amplifier for ultra-low frequency control, which was the cause of unnatural coloring in the low frequency range in conventional NFB circuits, the tone color of all bands is unified and natural tone quality is achieved.
For the power plug, Luxman's original high inertia power source is adopted.
This circuit is equipped with a special electrolytic capacitor with excellent instantaneous discharge characteristics to minimize delay control by creating an environment in which a comfortable power supply can always be pooled inside the amplifier, thereby enabling natural and dynamic power supply for the amplifier circuit.
The power supply section is equipped with a 8,600 μ F capacitor and a 300 VA power transformer. This power transformer has a special structure in which a non-cut iron core is wound around a coil bobbin, unlike the conventional system in which a coil is wound around the core. This greatly improves power supply efficiency and realizes a thin structure without sacrificing power supply size.
LUXMAN's unique STAR circuit is adopted. The power supply line and ground line in the circuit are not shared. Each line is connected directly from the reference point to each block and signal path to form an independent loop. This eliminates interference between each circuit and fluctuation factors of the amplification reference point due to changes in signal current.
Uses high-quality custom parts exclusively for Luxman.
Based on an acoustically excellent carbon film resistor, we have developed a high-information-transmission, ultra-low-noise resistor that has been developed after a wide range of studies including selection of alumina, which is a body porcelain, etching, carbonization, terminal material, terminal shape, and press-fitting method.
In addition, parts such as power transformers, block capacitors, electrolytic capacitors, copper-styrene capacitors, copper bus bars and high-purity cables are used.
One balanced input terminal and one unbalanced input terminal are installed.
The speaker output terminal uses a highly reliable speaker terminal that can be connected to a banana plug or Y lug.
Equipped with a power link terminal that can be used when stacking up B-1s, power on / off of up to 8 B-1s can be controlled with one touch.
It uses champagne gold front panel with aluminum hairline processing.
