Description

The compact speaker system which inherited the tradition of the first compact loudspeaker K1 in KEF announced in 1961, and also was born taking advantage of the know-how of the loudspeaker of many including LS-3/5A famous as a BBC monitor.

The 16cm cone type Woofer is carried in low-pass.
In order to reduce a splitting oscillation of a cone, damping materials are coated on the top layer and unnatural coloring with a mid range is eliminated.

The 2.5cm soft dome shape tweeter is carried in the high region.
While enclosing a coolant with a voice coil part and improving input characteristics-proof, a harmful parasitic oscillation is dumped on a tone quality.

The enclosure is considered as the design which secures a dimension by taking a baffle side calmly a small depth.
Thereby, by minimizing the influence from a baffle side, the ill effect in the baffle was reduced and the play capacity of a bass region is improved with a compact.
