This compact speaker system was born by inheriting the tradition of KEF's first compact speaker K1 announced in 1961 and utilizing the know-how of many speakers such as LS-3/5A which is famous as BBC monitor.

A 16 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
In order to reduce the split vibration of the cone, the surface is coated with damping material, and unnatural coloring in the mid-range is eliminated.

A 2.5 cm soft dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The voice coil section is filled with refrigerant to improve the input resistance and to damp parasitic vibrations harmful to sound quality.

The enclosure is designed to provide volume with a small baffle surface and a large depth.
This minimizes the effects from the baffle surface, reducing the adverse effects of the baffle and improving the low-frequency playback capability while being compact.
