Commentary
This 2-way speaker system was developed using the technology developed by JBL Pro.
A 15 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A new material, polyplus (polymer-coated fiber cellulose diaphragm), is used for the diaphragm, eliminating harmful split vibration of the cone and expanding the range of piston motion to realize tight low sound reproduction.
In addition, the magnetic circuit adopts a heatscape structure that efficiently releases heat from the voice coil, and realizes high input resistance for high-power drives.
A thick and highly rigid aluminum die-cast frame is used for the frame.
A 2.5 cm hard-domed tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm is equipped with a ribless pure titanium diaphragm and mounts on a unique elliptical curved surface (EOS) shorthorn baffle for a wider listening area and more accurate stereo images.
A neodymium magnet is installed in the magnetic circuit.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
The port is a free-flow bass reflex port, in which the inflow and outflow of air at the bass reflex port is optimized by computer analysis. By eliminating the breathing phenomenon of the port, a more realistic bass reproduction is achieved.
