Commentary
This commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the foundation of JBL, this is a speaker system that reprints the inscription L101 Lancer of the floor type speaker.
It has been refined by introducing JBL technology while maintaining the impression of the exterior.
A 30 cm cone type woofer, 2214H, is used for the low range.
In order to increase the rigidity of the cone paper and increase the internal loss, a unique coating reinforcement material "Aqua Plus" is applied to the pulp base. This diaphragm expands the piston motion with a 76 mm φ large-diameter copper ribbon edgewise wound voice coil.
An SFG magnetic circuit is adopted for the magnetic circuit, and low distortion is measured by magnetic field control.
The high-frequency range uses a combination of a driver 2416H and a bi-radial horn 2371.
The driver diaphragm uses pure titanium fused with a unique diamond structure to suppress split vibration. The voice coil uses an edge-wise wound voice coil made of a lightweight and highly conductive pure aluminum ribbon wire.
The Bi-Radial Horn 2371 has been newly developed based on acoustic theory. It has a special shape to achieve 90 ° x40 ° directional characteristics in both horizontal and vertical directions.
The top plate of the enclosure is made of marble to greatly reduce the resonance of the enclosure.
Also, the front grill is hand-carved Kumiko with JBL's traditional woodworking technology.
