JBL N26
¥ 38,000 (1 set of 2, released in 2000)
Commentary
This is a North Ridge series speaker system designed to give home the sound performance of professional JBL.
A 15 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A new material, Polyplus (polymer-coated fiber cellulose diaphragm), is used for the diaphragm. By suppressing the harmful split vibration of the cone, the piston motion range is expanded and tighter bass reproduction is realized.
A heatscape structure is adopted for the magnetic circuit, and input resistance is improved by efficiently releasing heat from the voice coil.
A 1.9 cm dome-shaped tweeter is installed in the high range.
A titanium-laminated diaphragm is used for the diaphragm and mounted on a unique elliptical curved surface (EOS) shorthorn baffle for wider listening and more precise stereo images.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
As an option sold separately, there were floor stand, bracket for wall, adapter for ceiling and so on.
