Commentary

A floor-type speaker system that uses the RP printed ribbon system.

The low-range is equipped with SLE34W, an edgeless 30 cm cone woofer.
This unit uses an acoustic low-pass filter with a ring-shaped slit structure at the edge. The diaphragm is supported by a push-pull double damper attached to the front and back of the voice coil. It combines with a special multi-layer (SM) cone and super-heat-resistant voice coil to create a light and tight low sound.

Ribbon type units FS41RP, FS21RP and FT7RP are installed in the middle and low band, middle band and high band respectively.
These units use the front drive type of RP printed ribbon system, which FOSTEX succeeded in putting into practical use for the first time in the world. The effective part of an ultrathin and lightweight diaphragm is driven entirely in phase.
In this system, the mass of the diaphragm is small and the diaphragm is driven uniformly. Unlike condenser type and other similar types of units, it realizes high efficiency and high input resistance. In addition, it has flat characteristics, high high-frequency reproduction limit, excellent transient characteristics, low distortion factor, flat impedance characteristics, etc., which make it ideal as a speaker.

The enclosure is hermetically sealed.
