Commentary
A compact speaker system that uses a uniquely designed speaker unit.
A 13.6 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A unique Neoflex resin is used for the diaphragm, and it is driven by a magnetic circuit with 100 mm diameter magnet and dual voice coil.
In addition, a die-cast frame is used for the frame.
A 2.5 cm diameter inverted dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The inverted dome diaphragm achieves high efficiency with low distortion as well as excellent directivity. In addition, the Micron Carat uses a 7 μ m-thick coating of TIOXID, an original new material, to suppress split vibration.
Also, 72 mm diameter magnet is used for the magnetic circuit.
The network section is designed with precision and uses high-grade polypropylene capacitors and inductors.
Large-diameter copper wires are also used for wiring.
The enclosure uses a rigid MDF material and the exterior is finished with a black satin lacquer.
In addition, by cutting off both edges of the front baffle, the baffle area is reduced to obtain a sharp sound image without disturbance. The enclosure has an internal volume of 6.6L, and the low-frequency reproduction capability is enhanced by tuning the double-voice coil woofer unit and rear bass reflex port.
It is equipped with a banana plug speaker terminal for bi-wiring connection.
