Commentary

A universal tone arm exclusively for light needle pressure announced when Fidelity Research was established.

It is equipped with a Gyro-Stat (Gyrostat), a unique mechanism developed further from the Gyro-Gimbal type.
This mechanism has a structure using four miniature bearings with high precision, and the rotation support part moves with completely uniform force in the 360 ° direction as seen from the arm tip, and the force required for rotation is also kept small. Therefore, the effective mass of the movable part can be kept small, and the structure is optimum for light needle pressure.
In addition, since the center of gravity of the movable part of the arm is almost equal to the center of rotation axis, operation at light needle pressure is extremely stable.

An 8 mm outer diameter aluminum alloy pipe is used for the arm part.
The cartridge mounting shell is 0.8 mm thick and is made of pressed aluminum alloy.

By using light alloy for each part, the total weight of the moving parts is limited to 170g, and the balance weight at the rear of the arm is limited to 40g.

The needle pressure adjustment can be read directly from 0 to 2 grams in 0.1g steps. Precise adjustment is possible without a needle pressure meter. In addition, the needle pressure weight adopts a new mechanism that clicks and stops at every scale.

By press-fitting a vinyl damping material inside the arm pipe and using special synthetic rubber for the rotation support part, resonance generated in each part of the arm is absorbed.
In addition, the damping material of the rotation support part protects the bearing from external shocks and loads.

Equipped with a lateral balancer.
It is preset to the Stable position with the center of gravity of the arm slightly lowered in consideration of stability when tracing warped records.

The head shell part is European standard 4-terminal type.

The lead wire of the arm base uses a unique FR 5-terminal type connector and does not require soldering.

Base attachment with anti-vibration hardening against vibration from the floor is attached.

We also received a special order of 40 cm arm FR-26.
