Commentary

Based on the 60-year tradition of speaker making, Columbia (now DENON) incorporated the results of basic research into this system and announced it as of-the-line studio monitor speaker.

A 41 cm cone type unit is used for the low range.
The magnetic circuit is composed of a large number of small magnets, and achieves a magnetic flux density of 14000 gauss in an 80 mm voice coil.
In addition, the corn paper is mixed with collagen fiber and has many corrugations.

The mid-range is a horn type that combines a relatively short horn and an acoustic lens.
The driver uses a diaphragm with a voice coil of 45 mm edgewise wound aluminum wire made of hard aluminum alloy, which is braked by a magnetic circuit of 20000 gauss or more.

The high-frequency band is a horn type with a hard aluminum alloy diaphragm, and the upper part of the mid-frequency band is not cut by the network, so it acts as a super-tweeter to supplement the ultra-high-frequency band.
