Commentary

This speaker system inherits the development concept of the SC-R88Z and incorporates technologies such as super bus mount structure, D.A. S structure enclosure, and R. M.M. structure tweeter mount.

A superbus mount structure is used to reproduce the middle and low frequencies in pure form.
The aluminum die-cast frame of the woofer and the magnet circuit are firmly fixed from the front and back, and the vibration supporting point of the diaphragm is clarified to ensure accurate piston motion.

It employs a unique D. A. S. structural enclosure with porous ceramics placed on the top plate. While the standing wave is diffused by the inclined surface of the porous ceramics, part of the sound wave is absorbed by the porous.
In addition, the weight of porous ceramics suppresses plate vibration of the whole enclosure, eliminates standing waves, and expands the dynamic range.

A 22 cm cone type woofer is used for the low range.
The diaphragm is made of New Cross Carbon, which is light, hard and has moderate internal loss.
A barium ferrite magnet is used for the magnetic circuit, and a diamond cut spin surface finish of thick aluminum die-cast is used for the frame.

The mid-range uses an 8 cm cone type squaker that uses carbon olefin diaphragm for the diaphragm.
The rigid back cavity suppresses the vibration of the frame and blocks the back sound pressure of the woofer.

A 1.6 cm hard dome type tweeter with ceramic coated diaphragm and barium ferrite magnet is adopted for the high range.
The R. M. M. structure in which the unit is embedded in the baffle plate eliminates the effect of vibration and reduces the modulation distortion.

A canceling double magnet system is used to prevent adverse effects on the TV screen.

The enclosure is made of high-density particle board with a wood-grain finish.
