Commentary
A speaker system designed for high speed with thorough tune-up in a compact size.
A 16 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The diaphragm is made of pulp material with high-density fibers using state-of-the-art paper manufacturing technology. In addition, rigidity is obtained by adopting concentric corrugation ribs created by vibration analysis.
In addition, a large flat damper is used for the damper.
A 2.5 cm hard dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm uses an alpha-boron diaphragm made of two ultra-rigid materials (boron compound and alumina particles) that are melted and accelerated by ultra-high-temperature plasma jet and fused to the surface of aluminum metal foil. Although it is lightweight, its rigidity is approximately three times that of a titanium diaphragm, and its internal loss is approximately ten times that of a conventional metal diaphragm. It has wide-range characteristics with little colorization.
Hard particle board is used for the material of the enclosure.
There are SC-C3 with wood-grain finish and SC-C3s with metallic silver finish.
