Commentary
This speaker system was developed through a technical tie-up with Peerless of Denmark.
A 25 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A light and strong cone paper is used for the diaphragm, foamed polyurethane is molded into a roll shape for the edge part, and in addition, it is a high compliance support system coated with a damping material.
The drive part uses an aluminum bobbin with small diametrical deflection and excellent thermal diffusivity.
The mid-range is equipped with a 10 cm cone type squaker.
The diaphragm uses non-prescone paper coated with a damping material on the back side, and the edge uses roll edge coated with a damping material in foamed polyurethane.
In addition, in order to prevent intermodulation distortion that occurs when strong vibrations from the woofer are applied to the back surface and frame of the Skoker, the structure of the back cavity and frame is firmly integrated by light alloy diecasting. The inside of the back cavity is filled with ring-shaped glass wool to absorb reflected sound.
A 2 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
A specially developed cloth shaped diaphragm is used for the diaphragm. The diaphragm with a small effective diameter provides excellent directional characteristics and flat power response.
In addition, a light alloy die-cast plate is used for the frame part.
In order to prevent power loss, the coil connected in series with the woofer is a ferrite bobbin coil with low DC resistance and good space factor. The ferrite material with minimal current distortion is used. Other coils are made of an air core.
All capacitors are of the plane foil type to minimize the loss and minimize the tolerance of the constant to prevent the sound quality change due to the variation of the crossover frequency.
Equipped with a level control that allows continuous adjustment.
The enclosure is hermetically sealed.
Butyl-based putty is used for mounting each unit, and the generation of intermodulation distortion is suppressed as much as possible by suppressing unnecessary vibration of the cabinet as well as interference between each unit.
Uses a screw-type input terminal.
