Commentary

DAT deck equipped with real 20 bit Λ S. L. C.

Real 20-bit Λ S. L. C is mounted on the D/A conversion part.
Λ (Lambda = LAMBDA) is an abbreviation for Ladder from Multiple Bias D/A, which is a new system unique to DENON. Using newly developed LSI, digital data is divided into two systems, and bias is applied in plus and minus directions near each 0 cross point for digital shift to eliminate 0 cross distortion.
In the DTR 2000 g, S. L. C and Λ of real 20 bit fs are used. The correction of the signal at low volume is done at the stage of digital data without relying on the MSB correction of the D/A converter, and there is theoretically no 0 cross distortion.

The A/D converter is equipped with a sigma / delta type A/D converter.
Compared with the conventional ladder resistor type A/D converter, this sigma / delta type can operate at high speed. This enables sampling at high frequency, adoption of a low-pass filter with excellent phase characteristics, and faithful quantization of analog signals.

It is equipped with functions such as digital fade-in / fade-out functions, 400 x high-speed FF/REW, fine queue function which can determine the precise ID writing position while playing back at approximately 1/2 the normal speed, manual ID writing / erasing, Oatley number, etc.

Aluminum die-cast is used for the mechanical base.
By floating the mechanical unit with a special damper material, the influence of external vibration is reduced.

It is equipped with two digital input / output systems, coaxial and optical.

3-step switching type display is adopted.

It supports SCMS and allows digital copying directly from CD or DAT only for the first recording to tape.
However, you cannot record (digitally copy) a tape that you have recorded digitally.

Wireless remote control is included.
