Commentary
CD player with W Super Linear Converter.
The D/A converter uses a super-linear converter and a double sample-and-hold type W super-linear converter.
In the Super Linear Converter, a correction signal is added to the D/A converter using a correction circuit to reduce D/A conversion errors and eliminate 0 cross distortion. The D/A converter uses a special US Bar Brown ICs with correction circuits unique to Denon.
In the double-sample-and-hold method, the left signal is aligned with the right signal, eliminating the time difference between the left and right channels, and realizing playback without phase difference.
The digital filter employs a 2 x over-sampling FIR type digital filter. By sampling at 88.2 kHz, which is twice the frequency of 44.1 kHz, unwanted harmonics are shifted to higher frequencies outside the audible band, allowing a margin between the signal and the audio signal.
In addition, the analog filter after D/A conversion is combined with a Chebyshev 5th-order low-pass filter to obtain excellent cutoff characteristics and phase characteristics.
The power supply section is composed of four independent power supplies. Each of the digital, servo, display and audio systems is supplied with current independently to eliminate mutual interference.
The pickup uses a 3-beam optical head to ensure stable tracing capability. In addition, the floating effect is enhanced by using a door type disk holder and a special damper structure to prevent vibration of the pickup.
In addition, the use of a new LSI for digital signal processing greatly reduces digital noise interference from the digital portion to the audio portion.
The cabinet uses a 4-point stopper top cover in addition to a drawn bottom plate and a large insulator to enhance the vibration resistant structure.
A wide-band, low-distortion, low-noise DC amplifier configuration is used for the amplifier circuit.
There is also a dedicated DC amplifier for the headphone output.
Equipped with a de-emphasis circuit, it is also compatible with pre-emphasis CD software.
When a pre-emphasized song is played, Emphasis is marked on the display.
It is equipped with a display using a large FL tube.
Equipped with an auto space function, the interval between songs is automatically edited to approximately 4 seconds.
You can repeat all songs on the disc, program songs, and 3 types between A and B.
It is equipped with automatic search and manual search that can quickly move to the head of the previous or next song or song.
Up to 20 songs can be played.
Equipped with a headphone port with volume.
Timer connection is possible.
Wireless remote control is included.
