DCD-1650SR
Commentary

1650 series CD player with AL24 Processing.

It is equipped with AL24 Processing, an original analog waveform reproduction technology.
The AL24 Processing is an extension of the conventional ALPHA Processing technology that reduces quantization distortion and is compatible with high-bit and high-sampling next-generation media.
In AL24 Processing, input digital data is used as a cue to interpolate digital data so that the sound becomes closer to the analog waveform that should have existed in the natural world. By reproducing the 16-bit signal recorded on a CD with 24-bit quality, the AL24 Processing enhances the music playback capability during low-level playback.

The D/A converter is equipped with a multi-24-bit D/A converter that supports 24-bit data obtained by AL24 Processing.
The multi-24-bit D/A converter is less susceptible to fluctuations in the power supply voltage (current), and noise is less likely to be heard because the in-band quantization distortion is constant regardless of frequency. Thus, a clear playback sound can be obtained.
In addition, this D/A converter has a 4 dac configuration in which two D/A converters are used for differential operation per channel, and in combination with the Λ S. L. C (Lambda Super Linear Converter), which theoretically eliminates the 0 cross distortion, it realizes transparent sound even for small signals.

The power transformer is fixed using the same cast trunk case and transformer base as the DCD-S10IIIL.
The effect of internal vibration on sound quality is reduced by using the casting base, which has large internal loss and is difficult to transmit vibration, as the case and mounting base of the transformer, which is the source of vibration.

The S. V. H. Loader reduces vibration by making the loader a hybrid of resin and metal, which is not necessary for disc playback. In addition, it has a highly vibration-resistant protein coating and uses a double metal guide mechanism that securely holds both sides of the loader with metal. It is a thorough vibration-proof structure.

The chassis structure has a double-top cover and triple-bottom cover to ensure high rigidity, reducing the effect of external vibration on sound quality.

The power supply has a dual transformer configuration with separate audio and digital transformers to reduce interference from the digital to the audio.
The power cord uses an extra-thick inlet type AC cord to reduce the impedance of the power supply.

High-quality parts such as high-quality electrolytic capacitors used in high-end models are used for audio blocks and power supply blocks.

You can play finalized CD-R and CD-RW discs.

It is equipped with 2 types of digital output terminals which are coaxial with optical.

Wireless remote control is included.
