Commentary

A CD player with digital technology such as ALPHA processor.

It is equipped with ALPHA processor which is an analog waveform reproduction technology.
Taking digital data recorded on CDs and other media as a clue, the digital data is interpolated so that the sound is closer to the analog waveform of the sound when it existed in the natural world, and 16-bit data is reproduced at 20-bit quality. This reduces quantization distortion and reproduces the subtle nuances of music lost in digital recording.

The D/A converter is equipped with a real 20-bit Λ (lambda) super linear converter.
The Λ Super Linear Converter eliminates the 0 cross distortion that occurs in principle during D/A conversion, and achieves excellent D/A conversion by combining it with a 20-bit 8 x oversampling digital filter.

S. V. H. (Suppress Vibration Hibrid) structure center mechanical mounting system is adopted.
In this system, the pickup unit, which is a mechanical drive unit, is placed in the center of the chassis to ensure the optimum weight balance of the body and to minimize vibration and resonance when the chassis is driven by a motor, thereby eliminating the influence on sound quality.
In addition, various parts of the loader section are reinforced, and plates are attached to the lower part of the tray to prevent delicate deformation caused by rotation of the disk.

Full digital servo is used for the servo circuit.
Digital Servo provides optimal servocontrol for each disc, ensuring stable operation and servocontrol that affects sound quality.

A 1.2 mm thick chassis is used for the chassis part to eliminate the influence of external vibration.

Equipped with a D. P. C. (Digital Pitch Commander) function that adjusts the playback speed of CDs.
This function allows the digital PLL to change the pitch of the CD playback to ± 12% in increments of 0.1%.

It is equipped with functions such as peak search, fader and auto-edit.

Equipped with a display dimmer function, the brightness of the display can be changed to 4 levels.

Two digital output systems are mounted : optical and coaxial.
Two analog outputs, fixed and variable, are installed.
There are 2 kinds of variations, DCD-1550AR-N with gold finish and DCD-1550AR-K with black finish.

Wireless remote control is included.
