A CD player with a Real 20-bit Lambda Super Linear Converter.

The D/A converter is equipped with a real 20-bit Lambda Super Linear Converter.
This circuit employs a new method of Lambda (LAMBDA = Ladder-form Multiple Bias D/A). Using a newly developed LSI, digital data is divided into two systems, each of which is shifted by applying digital bias in the plus and minus directions near the 0 cross point, thereby eliminating 0 cross distortion in principle.
In this method, at low levels, the digital data is processed and converted into data without 0 cross distortion and then D/A converted. Therefore, 0 cross distortion does not occur, and even if there is bit distortion, the distortion is reduced to 1/2 by the average of the two signals. In addition, at high levels, distortion may occur because the signal crosses the 0 cross point, but it is removed by the MSB correction of the super linear converter. In addition, at the instantaneous peak level (approximately 99.6% or more of the maximum level) that is almost absent in one piece of music, LAMBDA avoids shift calculation and uses the converter's dynamic range to the maximum extent to ensure a wide dynamic range.

The digital filter is equipped with a 20-bit 8 x oversampling digital filter. By increasing the sampling frequency by 8 x, the interval between the music signal and the noise component is widened greatly, making it easier to remove noise with the analog filter.

The analog circuit consists of independent left and right channels to eliminate interference between the channels.

For vibration isolation of the pickup, a new double floating mechanism with low-repulsion rubber and coil spring is adopted. In addition, it is strongly supported by the same mechanical fix bracket as DCD-1630 to eliminate the effect of signal.
In addition, the top cover is supported from below by a damper sheet on the back side and a steel plate bracket for vibration isolation, and the bottom is supported by a metal chassis and a thick steel plate bottom cover for low center of gravity and high rigidity.

Equipped with an optical digital output.

It is equipped with a time edit function that allows you to specify the tape time in addition to the conventional two part edit function.
In addition, features such as a pick that lets you select and move songs to be included in the remaining time, and a link that lets you edit across multiple discs.

It is equipped with a fader function that allows you to fade in / out at your desired location.

It is equipped with a function of random play and program play of up to 20 songs.

Equipped with 4-step switching type display dimmer function.

It is equipped with a remote control electric volume that can be used as headphones.

Wireless remote control is included.

There were 2 color variations of gold and black. Also, there was a side wood as an option sold separately.
