Commentary

A CD/HDD music system that can store your CD library on the internal hard disk.

You can store CD music on the built-in hard disk.
WMA and linear PCM up to 4 x speed, and Linear PCM can be recorded at up to 12 x speed. The number of songs that can be recorded in 4 minutes per song is approximately 10,000 in WMA standard mode, approximately 7,000 in high quality mode, and approximately 900 in Linear PCM.
In addition, music files (MP3, WMA, AAC (M4A), linear PCM) saved on a PC can be loaded into the CHR-F103 by using the included PC application software DENON Music Manager.
Some types of AAC files may not be played back correctly.
It has a Gracenote database that stores music information on CDs on the hard disk.
As a result, when a CD song is recorded on the hard disk, the CD song information is automatically registered. Also, new song information such as new songs can be automatically accessed, obtained and recorded to the Gracenote server if you are connected to the Internet via Ethernet.

While recording from a CD to your hard disk, you can monitor and play recorded songs, play songs stored on your hard disk, and play other sources, such as Internet radio or USB players, while recording.

It has a playlist function.
With this function, you can easily search for and play back songs using the search menu automatically created for each genre or artist, or the search menu for recently recorded CDs or recently played songs. You can also create up to 20 playlists of your favorite songs by yourself. You can change the name of the created playlist to create your favorite list.
The Narrow Search menu lets you search by Genres, Artists, Albums, and Tracks, and the Search Your Favorite menu lets you search by recently heard songs (auto-registration), recently recorded CDs (auto-registration), and playlists.
When searching from a playlist, you can easily search by Character Search or Initial Character Switching Search. In Character Search, enter the first character of the title you want to search, the next character,. to narrow down the titles of the entered characters and display them on the display. In Initial Character Switching Search, you can switch the initial character to A-B-C,. to display a list of titles with the initial character.

By using the USB connector (PC Control connector) for connecting to a PC on the back and the included application DENON Music Manager, you can import music files from your PC and manage songs stored on your hard disk on your PC.
In this application, you can change the contents of the playlist (change list name, add / delete / delete all songs). In addition, you can display the list of songs on the hard disk and edit the song information.
You can import music files from a PC by folder or by file.
This application is for Windows XP SP2.
You cannot import music protected by DRM, etc. Also, files saved with CHR-F103 cannot be played by other PCs due to DENON original encryption.

You can play Internet radio.
Access radio stations from a customized list for DENON of the radio station database service VTuner on the Internet.

Equipped with a music server function, you can play music files PC can be played on CHR-F103 via LAN.
This feature uses The Designed to DLNA Guidelines (D2G) and Windows Media Connect technology, and supports MP3, WAV (LPCM), and WMA audio formats.

You can play MP3 or WMA music files by directly connecting a USB player to the USB port on the front panel.

A large display compatible with Japanese and Chinese characters is used for the display section.

The D/A converter uses a 192 kHz / 24-bitD / A converter.
The digital filter uses an 8-times oversampling digital filter.

You can play MP3 or WMA audio files burned to CD-R/RW.
