Commentary
A pre-main amplifier for next-generation audio by improving the PMA 390 III.
By reviewing the volume circuit, tone circuit and power amplifier circuit, the upper limit of frequency characteristics in actual use was improved to 100 kHz. Furthermore, by improving the volume circuit, noise generated in the amplifier in actual use is suppressed and resolution is improved.
Equipped with an HC (High Current) single push-pull circuit that inherits the concept of the UHC single push-pull circuit used in the S series.
The amplifier uses an HC-transistor whose current supply capacity and peak current are twice as high as those of ordinary transistors.
The rectifier circuit uses the Schottky barrier diode used in the PMA 2000 III. High-speed operation with low-noise characteristics and high-current characteristics provides low-noise sound quality.
In order to reduce power consumption during standby when the remote power is turned off, a dedicated power transformer is installed in each of the microcomputer circuit and audio circuit. This not only reduces power consumption during standby, but also eliminates interference with the audio circuit by the microcomputer, resulting in higher sound quality.
Equipped with a microcomputer stop mode that stops all operation of the microcomputer when it does not control, such as during listening. During normal listening, the clock oscillation of the microcomputer stops, suppressing the inflow of noise into the audio system.
Uses S. L. D.C. (Signal Level Divided Construction) to reduce interference between circuits by separating small signal circuits, large signal circuits, microcomputer circuits, etc.
In addition, an inert gas-filled relay is used for the input switching of the CD and Phono to suppress the generation of noise that causes the sound to be contaminated.
Equipped with a source direct function that bypasses the Bass, Treble, Loudness and Balance control circuits.
Built-in pre-out terminal.
Equipped with a leave-out selector, it is possible to do back recording such as dubbing from CD to MD while listening to the record.
By remote control, switching of main volume and function, muting, remote power on/off (linked to Route 3 AC outlet) can be operated.
In addition, you can operate DENON CD, MD recorder, tuner and cassette deck.
