DENON PMA-390III
¥ 39,800 (released in 1998)
Commentary
This pre-main amplifier is based on the PMA 390 II and improved.
It is equipped with HC (High Current) single push-pull circuit which inherits the concept of UHC single push-pull circuit and was developed according to the potential of PMA-390III.
The amplifier uses an HC-transistor, which has twice the current supply capability and peak current capability of ordinary transistors, to improve the ability to express music.
In the power supply section, fast recovery diodes with high operating speed and high power supply capability are used in the rectifier circuit.
In addition, in order to reduce standby power consumption when remote power is turned off, a dedicated power transformer is installed in each of the microcomputer circuit and the audio circuit. This not only reduces standby power consumption, but also eliminates interference with the audio circuit reduces noise.
The microcomputer stop mode is used to stop all operation of the microcomputer when the microcomputer does not control, such as during listening. During normal listening, the clock oscillation of the microcomputer stops, eliminating noise from entering the audio system.
For input switching of CD and Phono, an inert gas-filled relay is used to suppress noise that causes noise pollution. In addition, a large-capacity smoothing block capacitor and high-quality sound carbon resistance / capacitor are used.
Built-in pre-out terminal.
You can switch the main volume and function, mute and remote power on/off (linked to Route 3 AC outlet). You can also operate DENON CD player, MD recorder, tuner and cassette deck.
Equipped with a Rec out selector, it is possible to monitor a 3-head cassette deck and to dub from CD to MD while listening to a record.
Equipped with a source direct switch.
It is equipped with a phono equalizer amplifier.
There are 2 color variations, gold and black.
