PMA-390AE
Commentary

PMA 390 series pre-main amplifier.

It is equipped with HC (High Current) single push-pull circuit which inherits the idea of UHC single push-pull circuit used in high-grade machines.
This circuit uses the HC-transistor, which has twice the current supply capability and peak current capability of the conventional transistor, and provides stable musical expression capability.

A Schottky barrier diode is used in the rectifying circuit of the power supply section to bring out the capability of the HC single push-pull circuit.
This diode has low-noise characteristics due to its high-speed operation and excellent high-current characteristics, enabling powerful and low-noise reproduction.

The power transformers for analog and control systems are separated and independent by windings to reduce interference between circuits and eliminate influence on sound quality.
In addition, a dedicated transformer is installed for standby of remote power off to reduce power consumption during standby.

The internal layout uses S. L. D. C. (Signal Level Divided Construction) between circuits is suppressed by ideally separating small signal circuit, large signal circuit, microcomputer circuit, etc..
In addition, an inert gas-filled relay is adopted for input switching of CD and Phono to form a purer and straighter signal path.

It uses carefully selected parts with excellent sound quality and reliability such as DENON original high sound quality smoothing block capacitor, high sound quality carbon resistance, high sound quality condenser, etc.

By adjusting each circuit such as tone circuit and power amplifier circuit, the upper limit of frequency characteristics in actual use is secured up to 100 khz.
In addition, by improving the volume circuit, noise generated in the amplifier during actual use is suppressed and high resolution is obtained.

Microcomputer stop mode is adopted.
When the microcomputer does not control, such as during normal listening, the clock oscillation of the microcomputer stops, preventing noise from entering the audio system and enabling playback with higher sound quality.

It has a source direct function.
A complete signal path is achieved by bypassing the Bass, Treble, Loudness, and Balance control circuits.

Built-in pre-out terminal.

Equipped with a Rec out selector.

It is equipped with a phono equalizer amplifier.

System remote control is included.
The main volume and function can be switched, muting, and remote power ON/OFF (linked to Route 3 AC outlet).
You can also control DENON CD and tuner.

There are 2 color variations of premium silver and black.
