Commentary

This is a pre-main amplifier with improved sound quality based on PMA 2000.

The output stage employs a high-current amplifier UHC-MOS with a peak current of 120A, which is three to ten times the current supply capability of the normal amplifier. By mounting this UHC-MOS in a single push-pull configuration, variations in amplification operation are eliminated.

The power supply section uses a high-current ultra-high-speed rectifier diode. In addition, compared with PMA-2000, the core thickness is increased by approximately 20%, the winding cross-sectional area is increased by approximately 40%, and the operating resistance is greatly reduced. In addition, the power supply condenser is equipped with a combination of a high-capacity high-sound electrolytic condenser and a plain foil condenser with different the current supply capability.
In addition, the transformer section employs a twin transformer parallel connection that greatly improves the characteristics of both the magnetic circuit and winding circuit, and an L. C (Leakage Canceling) mount that mutually cancels the effects of magnetism and other factors. This reduces the leakage flux of the power transformer, which is a source of noise in the amplifier, and improves the power supply capability and reduces noise.

Precision Mechanical Ground structure is adopted, and by attaching the radiator dumped by elastic rubber and radiator stabilizer directly to the bottom near the newly developed FOOT with high damping, interference of other vibration sources such as power transformer and vibration path is suppressed.
The power transformer is mounted in a floating structure with a combination of special rubber, special resin and steel plate to reduce the effect of vibration from the transformer.
In addition, a top cover with anti-vibration measures and a volume knob with high mass to suppress vibration are adopted.

Equipped with a Precision Signal Ground circuit that suppresses the inflow of noise signals from a constant current circuit and cuts current other than signal current.

In order to eliminate degradation of sound quality due to interference between circuits and inflow of noise, we have adopted a twin monaural configuration in which the left and right power amplifier blocks are separated, and a 6-block structure in which circuits with different signal levels are also separated.
This eliminates the effect of inter-block interference on sound quality.

The phono equalizer uses a discrete first stage circuit that uses a low-noise FET.
It is compatible with both MM and MC cartridges.

Built-in pre-out terminal.

By increasing the thickness of the base by 20% compared to PMA-2000 and applying black alumite treatment, the heat radiation effect is greatly improved. We use carefully selected parts such as power radiator, exclusive control system transformer, OFC internal wiring material, inert gas filled relay, high-sound quality carbon resistance / condenser.

It uses a large brass machined speaker terminal for biwiring and an AC inlet type power cord.
